Moving

for_sale_sign_2.jpgI haven’t been updating much, (like I did anyway) I decided very quickly to put the house up for sale as we found a house we really liked in some what of an affordable price range, so within a couple of days the house was for sale and four days later we had an offer for asking price, two days after that we received a second offer. So it’s been a little insane as we try and get the offers closed so we can close ours. As it stands looks like will be moving June first, and the kicker is no DSL or cable internet where were going so I have to get wireless internet setup, this should be interesting.

Digg Popular

It’s crazy how long it takes to move down the list of popular Diggers. The last time I had a story on Digg hit the frontpage it was October 2006, and not long after I moved over to Propeller and started a submitting there. In October 2006 I was sitting around 60th for popularity since then I have only submitted a handful of stories and because I have been out of the “Digg Loop” friends are not looking for me and voting on my stuff. Now after a almost a year and a half I just dropped out of the top 100 and am currently at 104.

Maybe I should try to climb back into the top 100 again.

Propeller Issues

I have been getting a lot of site mail regarding the performance of Propeller and wanted everyone to know that the team knows of the issues and is working on a solution, a very good solution I might add. So just hang in there, things will be much better soon.

A work in progress

Hopefully over the next few days I can get everything the way I want over at this new blog, then I can update my links that link to my old blog. It would be nice in the future to have some more time to blog about more stuff. As soon as the new Propeller site starts to happen, I hope to use this as a way to help the current Propellerheads make the transition from old site to new.

Rock and Roll

Over the years I have seen many concerts, The Rolling Stones(2x), Pink Floyd(2x), Robert Plant, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, Rush, The Black Crowes, Bad Company, ZZ Top, just to name a few. With family and work, I just didn’t have the time or money to do this anymore, and I didn’t have much interest either. So after a break of about 5-6 yrs I am heading up to Ottawa to see John Mellencamp ,Tom Cochrane and Red Rider. Hopefully it’s a good show, I have been a fan of John Mellencamp since he was John Cougar, it’s also my wife’s first concert which should be interesting.

Since buying these tickets, all of a sudden other concerts have popped up that seem to work with my schedule and I have bought tickets for. My hometown of Kingston has recently built a new arena and very famous band in Canada, called The Tragically Hip, famous to Canadians (probably not so much Americans) is from Kingston and will open the arena so we picked up some tickets to go see them. As the dust was settling on this, Def Leopard, Styx and REO Speedwagon announce they are touring Canada, and while I probably wouldn’t have hunted down tickets myself, a co-worker of my wife decided to buy some tickets for the show at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, and wanted to know if we would like some. With it falling on a weekend I said sure, and the more I think about this show the more excited I’m getting about going to see it. Crappy 80’s music, You got to love it!

My thoughts on that later.

View at the top of the mountain. The board with the lights tells you which lifts are open.

Mont Tremblant pt.2

Just got back, and wish I was still up on the hill, yesterday afternoon was crazy, sunny at the bottom and complete white out at the top, couldn’t see 10 feet in front of you, still didn’t stop me.
